It would be hard to find a player as versatile as Sean Lewis
on most teams in the league.
Sean can hit for average, power, draw a needed walk, play the outfield well and pitch
when he is needed. Having Sean Lewis on your team means never having to worry about if your team can do something needed to
win a game. In the first few games of his rookie season he has already played leftfield, centerfield, rightfield and
has pitched. He has exceptional range in the field, good quick reflexes and a seemingly endless supply of energy. His
lightening fast accomplishments have already earned him the nickname 'Quarter' - as in quarter horse. Wherever he goes
this year or in the future, it seems certain that Sean Lewis will see a lot of action.
Adjusting from baseball to wiffleball hasn't been to difficult for Sean, entering the
month of June, Lewis was hitting .582 with 66 RBI. His patience at the plate, drawing 36 walks in just 5 games, has lead to
an on base percentage of .701 - one of the best in the game.
Occupational Hazard is glad to have this reed-thin little player with above average
clutch-hitting ability on board for 2005. In fact, 8 of his first 20 career home runs have come with the base loaded.
That's a 40% rate that ranks up there with the likes of DiCesare, Davis and another Lewis named Mike.
If he keeps on putting up numbers like these, Sean Lewis' nickname might
be converted from 'Quarter' to 'Silver Dollar'.
